I continue my journey into the fashion trends for the next Spring Summer 2025, always advising that true fashion is that which makes us feel at ease and always reflects our physicality and personality.

Fringes, feathers, applications of various kinds are absolutely the protagonists of clothes and accessories for the next season. It can be a detail, a finish, but often also the most important characteristic of the garment to which they belong. They can be feminine and a little sexy (Micael Kors and Roberto Cavalli), but also sophisticated and conceptual (among the most beautiful “fringes” those of Calcaterra). They can be real feathers or simply “couture” solutions that create the same effect as nature. Very interesting and above all even if just one detail (easier to wear), it makes you immediately feel DIVA.

Another important trend, and this time it is a fabric, will be that of satin. There are many “shiny” proposals on the catwalks around the world. It is interesting how this fabric, for a long time reserved only for evening and elegant dresses, has also been used in a more casual and contemporary way (Philip Lim, Coach, JW Anderson). There is no shortage of beautiful glamorous proposals, which perfectly adapt to the texture of satin, such as those of Dolce & Gabbana and Balmain.

Finally, there will be a lot of color linked to the warm and vitamini tones of yellow and orange. Fashion has always reflected the historical period it is living in, and often tries to convey a positive message in the face of so much desolation. It is no coincidence that yellow, orange, lime, are all shades that vibrate optimism and happiness, harmony and freedom. We hope to wear them next spring in a climate of greater peace and serenity.

As always there was also much more; for example the OVER trend that I spoke about extensively in some posts ago, the Sparkling, or the sparkle of sequins and all those little solutions like tinkling crystals that immediately make Charleston; the Lingerie in sight, but even this is not really new, if you go and take my posts of trends/fashion shows from a few years ago, we find it more than once; the trend to Sport chic, probably thanks to the aftermath of the beautiful Paris Olympics.

I have not noticed any real stylistic and technical revolutions, the fashion houses and designers have preferred to stay in a comfort zone, but, in such a complicated period, especially for a growing contraction of purchases and customs, it could have been avoided, or rather I believe that the only answer that fashion can and must always give, is that of creativity.
