“Growths”, 2022 work by Eva Fàbregas
In this exhibition there are sculptures and drawings by the artist and a selection of works from the art collection of the Fundación Botin. An aesthetic, intuitive and sensorial dialogue. “I wanted to bring together a series of artworks capable of triggering a complex, unexpected dialogue of intimacy and self-search… and this is how I began to imagine the exhibition as a large-scale living organism….” Eva Fabregas
“Pumping”, 2019 work by Eva Fàbregas
In Fàbregas’ works, the air is transformed and becomes something tangible that creates volumes and shapes; biomorphic volumes that become structure and wrap or twist on themselves. A process that refers to metamorphosis, something that stimulates a strong emotion, which can sometimes be threatening or perverse, however, from my point of view, the use of pastels makes these works almost playful, in a motif that seems to a dance.
“Kimberly and Chloe”, 2019 work by Eva Fàbregas
Eva Fàbregas’s installations explore inner life, soft and fleshy objects spread in space, an organically modern, tactile and sensorial world, also because the public can interact with the works themselves, relaxing or curling up in their enveloping softness.
“Polifilia series”, 2022 drawings by Eva Fàbregas
“In this exhibition it is possible to gently lie down on the sculptures, embrace them and synchronize our breath with them, experience their skin as an extension of ours, in an act of communion that is as beautiful as it is strange.” Bárbara Rodríguez Munoz, Director of the Exhibition and Collection of the Centro Botín.
An artist image, Eva Fàbregas
I really like this artist who offers a personal and conceptual point of view, her works are sensual and create a call with our primordial instincts, our desire to connect through our senses (visual, tactile, sound ..) with the world and with humanity.
