Last week, at Garage 21 in Milan, I was invited to the Milano Unica presentation for the trends of the next Spring / Summer 2026 season, an event as always wonderfully creative and stimulating.

Milano Unica “LAND” is the theme that introduces the presentation of the Trends for Spring – Summer 2026. A multifaceted, rich and transversal concept that refers to the world of territoriality, land precisely, our imagination, in which nature and sustainability are the guides for a better future society.

“LAND” as exploration and discovery, as territory and opportunity, as an ideal place also for one’s mental well-being, as an inner journey in search of oneself, to personal growth in the search for balance and interiority. But LAND is also a word linked, unequivocally, to sustainability, ecology and the protection and conservation of nature.

In this context, Milano Unica has identified three themes linked to fabrics, materials and accessories that express the concept of LAND, respecting and valorizing, obviously, the excellence of Italian manufacturing Made in Italy.

As I write every time, it is truly a pleasure to find oneself among these Italian manufacturing excellences, the materials and accessories that they propose on this occasion, and in a much more exhaustive way in the February 2025 fair, are increasingly interesting and creative, but also respectful of a manufacturing process that cannot ignore respect for the environment. I believe that Italy is really trying to do its part also on the topic of sustainability, it would be nice if countries like China or India, whose impact on the environment is much more performing and decisive, realized that this is the only possible way.

Good life to everyone!

Beatrice
