I kept my clothes for personal reasons. Have, through the years, my second skin, a topic of aesthetics and respect for the values of the artisan and the art of fabric, a testament to the evolution of man in my time. Is history and is my story …. “ Nino Cerruti
The wardrobe of Nino Cerruti has more than half a century. Some dresses are very much alive, only usury makes them importable, others have been passed down to his son, and others, as an affectation and a pride that few brands can afford, are even constantly worn by Mr. Nino …

“Once the taboo of male frivolity was broken, the scene began to fill with smug pompous peacocks… The authentic fob like il signor Nino, however, is a rare breed. He strives for splendor more than anybody else, yet he has modesty in such an urge, so much so that he competes for elegance only against himself…. He dares to be himself” . Angelo Flaccavento

There is one thing that unites the Cerruti to the great artist Marino Marini, it’s the “simplicity”, something that seems trivial, so often snubbed in favor of sensationalism, eccentricity tout court, the hype … Instead express simply saying something important, especially through its “art”, it is the most difficult thing to achieve.
Marini said: “As in love, you can not explain everything in the art, certain parts remain in the shadow of light mystery … but they are simple for the artist.” This great artistic truth might be compared to another, equally true, only more caustic, and is one of Tolstoy “What is Art? Critics explain. What explain? The artist, if that, he communicated with his work a feeling that he has tried. What is it to be explained. “
Cerruti says: “I’ve never worked on extravagance … I have always loved the normal ity full of inventions, energy, and thus perpetually changing.”
