A beautiful tree tapestry by Botto Giuseppe
TRANSFORMER was the theme of the Research Space for Autumn Winter 2022-23, a current theme that responds perfectly to this moment of total uncertainty and, at the same time, to the desire for change and to turn the page.
On the one hand, our fixed points which are family, work and loved ones, on the other, the vision of a new future, because if one thing, only one, can be saved from this pandemic year, it is certainly to review our priorities, to live and appreciate this life, which is one, in the best possible way.
The theme also addresses another important aspect, which has always been at the center of human life, namely the eternal diatribe between past and future, between progress and tradition, between classicism and avant-garde. The concept of transformation told in three important aspects, the theme of the body, spaces and objects, intended as devices for everyday living.

BODY: The body is transformed during life and history. The body that changes shape, expression, meaning. We do not know exactly what form it will take, but we will be ready to support this transformation.

DEVICE: Transformation of everyday objects because our lifestyle and our places of action have changed. Multifunctional objects, the furniture is home, office and gym, just as the clothes can be the same for a conference call, as for a home yoga session.

SPACE: The change of work and place. The houses have become our office, but also our entertainment and meeting place. Architectural fashion, therefore, spatial, in symbiosis with the environment. Knittwear has entered the design, in the objects and in the interior design.
