CHROMA by Florencia Martinez exhibition inside the IAFIL stand

The reference fair for the world of yarns and knitwear ends today with 114 companies that have presented their incredible collections for SS 2026.
IAFIL – INDUSTRIA AMBROSIANA FILATI: Founded in 1890, it produces quality yarns using, among many materials, the finest cottons in the world. Raw material, supervision of the complete spinning cycle, twisting, mercerization and dyeing, a 360° job that fully satisfies the requests of the most demanding buyer.
The CHROMA project is beautiful, the title chosen by the Argentine artist Florencia Martinez for the personal exhibition inside the IAFIL stand. Works made in a fabric that becomes three-dimensional and transforms itself giving life to wonderful anthropomorphic sculptures.
Filati BE.MI.VA: Since 1960, knitting yarns with qualifying and creative content rewarded by an international clientele. Craftsmanship and exclusively Made in Italy production are a must for this company. The garments made in the stand are always sophisticated.
D-HOUSE: Urban laboratory where the sustainable future of fashion and design is developed and shaped through research projects, events and training courses. A hub in the center of Milan conceived and developed by the founders of Dyloan Bond Factory.
Lineapiù: Company that contributed to the birth of Made in Italy, led since 2010 by Alessandro Bastagli, an enlightened entrepreneur who understood and protected the potential of this Italian manufacturing reality. Recognized as a world leader in the knitwear sector, both for creativity and quality, creating yarns that have revolutionized the history of knitwear, such as the first 100% viscose yarn, or the more recent Paper Knit, paper yarn.
Lanificio dell’Olivo: Another story far back in time, a company founded in 1947, a leader in the production of fancy yarns for the knitwear and knitting industry. Fine and high-quality materials, creativity and sustainability make this Prato-based company a reality known throughout the world.
Biella Yarn: The material idea of the vase and the yarn inspired by it is beautiful, an interesting mix of quality and fashion.
E Miroglio: A company among the world leaders in the production and sale of yarns, woven fabrics and knitted fabrics. The two brands MIROGLIO LANA, carded wool fabrics, and EM FILATI knitting yarns, offer the best in knitwear fabrics. The proposals created for the event in flou ice cream tones are delicious.
Servizi e Seta: Company that produces yarns in 100% Silk and silk blends, in 100% Linen and blends with natural fibers, 100% Wool and blends with natural fibers. Specifically, Silk is offered in all its variants, shiny, opaque, rustic, raw..
IGEA: since 1964 Manifattura Igea has been one of the most important yarn industries at an international level. Creative and authentic, every season beautiful and innovative proposals both for yarns and for the garments made for Pitti.
MILLEFILI: manufacturer of high-quality industrial yarns. I didn’t have time to enter the stand (one of the most visited also for the usual “creative generosity”), but the installation of the logo with noble fibers is very beautiful.
CustomEasy: Section that delves into the different aspects of customization, in which different skills in the textile field are integrated and interact. Textile machines, applied washes, embroidery, finishing, designs and cuts with software, manage to create small masterpieces, where the initial idea has become another “story”, decidedly more interesting and creative.
CustomEasy. Some proposals in the CustomEasy section under the creative guidance of Maurizio Brocchetto.

ZEGNA BARUFFA LANE BORGOSESIA: It was born more than 150 years ago, precisely in 1850, from a revolutionary idea of the Antongini brothers, architects, among other things, of the unification of Italy and who in 1873 established one of the first joint-stock companies, giving life to one of the first modern Italian industrial realities. The work was then carried forward by another great industrialist, Giuseppe Magni who installed a real welfare system for the many workers coming from different countries, with the creation of hospitality structures, schools, hospitals, boarding schools and an internal railway, a real city within the city of Borgosesia. An important story that should still inspire today, at a time when working is difficult and when rights and duties, on both sides, are often forgotten values. Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia offers the best 100% merino wool yarn, pure or mixed with noble fibers such as cashmere or silk, destined for fashion brands all over the world.
Among the new features of this edition, the CFMI Academy training project, born from the partnership between Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana, Pitti Immagine and UniCredit, an important opportunity for students from the best fashion schools, something to invest in for the future of our creative kids.
I’ll stop with the first part, in the next few days the Spazio Ricerca with all the trends.
Good life to all!
