The mood for Autumn / Winter 2025-26 of the Research Space, curated by Angelo Figus, Nicola Miller and Carrie Hollands, was SHIELD, or protection, refuge, security.In fact, there are many uncertainties and questions in recent times; from international conflicts, to economic instability, from climate change, to the threat of artificial intelligence. How can we protect ourselves from all this?

WOODNESS the last theme is inspired by the tree, a symbol of the search for shelter but always, and in all cultures, also a symbol of life itself. It represents the great force of adaptation and rebirth as it renews itself and lives continuously, nourished by the earth.

Nature with its beauty inspires art. And then only creativity will be the only solution and response of luxury, oriented towards creating special handcrafted products, which we Italians know how to do better than anyone else!
