“La Piccola Molly” by Beatrice Brandini
Stand fitting Péro
The ninetieth edition of Pitti Immagine Bimbo opened yesterday, confirming a leadership position among the sector’s fairs for creativity and eclecticism in the proposals offered.
Yes, because this fair, just like its older brother Pitti Uomo for menswear, stands out from the others for the presence of many brands that meet every need, both in terms of the product sector (clothing, accessories, design, publishing …), and in terms of gender (ceremony, sportswear, lifestyle, avant-garde …)
For Autumn / Winter 2020-21, I have developed four macro trends:
“CLIMATE” mood by Beatrice Brandini
It is no longer possible to wait, we need to reverse the trend and work towards making the textile industry more virtuous. End consumers will be increasingly attentive and aware, brands that will share the supply chain with their customers will be rewarded. Theme that banishes excesses but that prefers purity and simplicity in shapes and colors. Comfortable and contemporary clothes. Genderless. Oversized volumes, hoods, eco friendly padding.
“Modern Romance” mood by Beatrice Brandini
Feminine and romantic theme, a little retro; flowers, embroidery, applications, all always characterized by creativity, craftsmanship and originality. Timeless, yet modern taste. Precious but never affected. Important accessories. Porcelain blue and pink with mauve, the colors.
“Mad Oriental” mood by Beatrice Brandini
Fluorescent colors, eccentricity, irony. Mixing styles, shapes and patterns. Everything that until recently seemed tacky now becomes cool. Irreverence and extravagance. Orient in prints and volumes, in iconography. Gold, fuchsia, lime green, tangerine.
Patchwork mood by Beatrice Brandini
Metropolitan hippies. The construction of the garments are fundamental. It is as if an ancient and rural world, made of craftsmanship, meets the modernity of design. Patchwork as a mixture of designs and processes. COLOR. Floral and geometric prints. Knitted wool and crochet.
The fair brings together 543 collections with the presence of 356 foreign brands (65% of the total), just to confirm the internationality of this event. The mosaic of the fair is divided into 11 sections, embracing, as already mentioned, the various styles of dressing and lifestyle of the under 14.

Péro
Speaking of the fair, I start immediately from a great, great LOVE, Péro I say it every edition but every time it manages to amaze me and drive me crazy for poetry, originality, beauty. This year, the eclectic and artistic Adele Gandola, had one of the oldest Italian waxworks (Cereria Introna, made candles since 1840), a vintage-style doll that poetically (literally) filled the entire stand. I would have bought all of them if I could, those objects that looking at them make you feel better immediately. And, confirming expectations, the collection was beautiful.
Atelier Choux Paris, poetic hot air balloons and circus are the protagonists of the collection
My Brand Dutch brand that mixes street and lifestyle in a gritty way
Dinosky for snow or rain, to smile even when the weather conditions would not allow it.
MIMISol is another brand that does beautiful things. Each garment of this brand is an act of love towards the girls to whom it is addressed, their mothers and fashion as a form of poetry and art. Imelde Bronzieri’s talent is the greatest guarantee.
