Yellow, energetic, graphic: it’s PITTI LEMON.
Illustration by Giordano Poloni: Lemon City
In June, the halls of Pitti Immagine will be crossed by a wave of energy. The theme chosen for the advertising campaign and for the displays in the Fortezza is in fact PITTI LEMON.
Picasso: Still life with lemons and oranges
Renato Guttuso: Lemons
A summer theme, sunny, energetic, but also thirst-quenching, tasty, vitamin-rich, light, a mix just like the choice we find inside the Pitti halls. A simple symbol, that of the lemon, playful and basic, a sign that children love but also great artists such as Ghirlandaio, Manet, Picasso or Lichtenstein.

Giordano Poloni, an important illustrator, imagined an ideal city, Lemon City, in which the protagonists, just like those who visit Pitti Uomo – Bimbo – Filati, can find research, style and contemporaneity.
According to the Greeks, lemons were produced by the Earth in honor of the wedding of Jupiter and Juno. Christian tradition associates the image of the lemon plant with that of the Virgin Mary.

Surely, the lemon will be a positive symbol, a simple but effective fruit if you are thirsty, hot or simply down on your strength. An element that nature naturally offers us in all its splendor, like Pitti fashion.
Good life to everyone!
