Outfit from the Rolf Ekroth & Terinit fashion show
“Juho” by Beatrice Brandini
The collection presented at the Presidential Building, organized by Pitti Immagine, by the Finnish designer Rolf Ekroth, in collaboration with Terinit, is very interesting with a clear overview, worn by globe-trotter models, perfect testimonials / consumers of each outfit.

It is a collection designed together with Terinit, a legendary Finnish sports company, founded in 1949, (Finland and winter sports are almost a single entity) and relaunched mainly thanks to the collaboration with Ekroth. The collection is a tribute to one of the greatest and most extravagant snowboarders of all time, Heikki Sorsa.

Rolf Ekroth mixes the passion for sport, especially snowboarding, and the cyber punk masterpiece Ghost in The Shell, its roots, hobbies and collaborations with the Rising Sun. Very beautiful the Outerwear, the oversized but fluid trousers, and the combination of noble and ancient fabrics, such as wool and flannel, with more technical ones. And also the digital prints and the color palette, characterized by burgundy red, pink and purple combined with persimmons and marron glacé. And again Scottish, coupled fabrics, nylon, acid colors and soft focus. The fabrics are mainly made with recycled fibers.

I liked this presentation very much, just as the atmosphere and I greatly appreciated Ekroth’s “outsider “attitude. A nice breath of fresh air. Probably the awareness of those who have good ideas, work hard, but do not take themselves too seriously.
