TRNDS: How we will dress next Fall Winter 2025 – 2026 (Part I)

Mood KNITWEAR by Beatrice Brandini

The London, Milan and Parisian fashion shows for Fall – Winter 2025/26 showed us a fashion that was above all “bourgeois”. No brand or designer took too many risks, the complicated period from a geopolitical point of view certainly does not help creativity. However, some trends emerged that I will summarize in this post.

KNITWEAR: A desire for knitwear. Knitwear is the protagonist from head to toe. Sweaters, dresses, cardigans, capes, in short it will be a warm winter full of knitwear. Tricot effects and three-dimensional workmanship, jacquard designs, Teddy bear effects. Volumes are oversized and knitwear often becomes couture.

Mood CAMEL by Beatrice Brandini

CAMEL: It is a reassuring, classic and timeless shade, suitable for the historical period that mainly needs reassurance. Perfect shade for coats or raincoats, among all those by Max Mara, but also for lace (from Ermanno Scervino and Christian Dior, very feminine) leather (Yves Saint Laurent), knitwear. The camel color will be one of the protagonist tones of the next season. Sometimes more decisive, sometimes more ethereal.

Mood DENIM by Beatrice Brandini

DENIM: Once again, denim will be the main interpreter of our winter. Used to create very precious garments, or simply in its most basic and “raw” version (Undercover). The volumes are wide or dry; interesting how it is combined with precious materials such as fur (Dolce & Gabbana and Gianni Versace), or for classic outfits for career women.

Mood MILITARY by Beatrice Brandini

MILITARY: It is a philosophy of life, a timeless trend, a way of being. I am talking about the styles that recall military details and the color itself, namely military green. Cargo pants, oversized patch pockets, epaulettes, golden buttons… but also a lot of green appeared on the catwalks. The combinations with leather and fur were beautiful (Dolce et Gabbana) or precious because they were studded with micro studs or rhinestones (Gianni Versace), but also clean for more fluid lines, like those proposed by Armani or Max Mara.

There was also a lot of leather on the catwalks, but I have been quoting and proposing it from the fashion shows for at least two seasons, I risked repeating myself a bit too much. Even if this has been the trend for a few years, that is to re-propose a bit of the same things without ever bringing out anything truly new.

Then there was a lot of lace, for delicious elegant dresses, or sometimes used simply as a detail. Lots of burgundy, but again it’s a déjà vu. And there was still a lot of lace, for delicious elegant dresses, or sometimes simply used as a detail. Then the animalier, the slip dress, the fringes, black…

For now I’ll stop here, we’ll talk about it in the next post.

Good life to everyone!

Beatrice
